Transformation is being insourced.
InMag is an independent magazine and community for the leaders doing the work — CIOs, COOs, CISOs, heads of shared services and the architects and people leaders beside them.
Why InMag exists
Most of what is written about agentic AI comes from the people selling it. The leaders who actually moved a process, renegotiated a contract or retrained a team rarely get to say what happened — and when they do, it is usually on a stage built for a sponsor.
InMag publishes the practitioner’s account, convenes closed rooms where the real numbers can be shared, and connects leaders who are one step ahead of each other.
What “insource” means here
Insourcing is not a rejection of partners. It is a decision about where capability and accountability should live. When agents can do a growing share of the work, the enterprise that owns its context, its controls and its people’s judgment has the advantage.
Six rules every room runs on
- Practitioners over punditsSpeakers and writers did the work inside an enterprise. Commentary is labelled as commentary.
- No vendor pitches in the roomPartners underwrite events. They don’t buy stage time, seats or coverage.
- Show the evidenceClaims come with the architecture, the numbers or the artifact.
- Chatham House by defaultWhat is said can be used; who said it cannot, unless they choose to go on the record.
- People firstWe cover the workforce side as seriously as the technology.
- Share the failuresThe most useful thing a peer can tell you is what didn’t work.
